Meet the Secretariat

Angelica Vogiatzoglou
Secretary General

Little did I know when I first joined the MUN world five years ago, primarily inspired by the real buzz and enthusiasm around it, that I would instantly fall in love with it and now have the utmost honor to serve as the Secretary General of the 15th CGS MUN Conference. My name is Angelica Vogiatzoglou and I am an IB1 student at CGS. Having attended 17 MUN conferences so far and multiple international conferences and competitions, I have come to realize that MUN is a one-of-a-kind life-changing experience. MUN has altered my way of thinking, has made me wiser and more mature.  It has shown me how the world works and motivated me to push myself out of my comfort zone pursuing my goals and dreams. I sincerely wish that the 15th, the most eagerly-awaited session of all, is an unforgettable, fruitful and rewarding experience for all the participants. I can’t wait to meet you all in December!

Nefeli Pelekanou
President of the General Assembly

My name is Nefeli Pelekanou, I am an IB1 student at the International School of Athens and it is my utmost honor to serve as the President of the General Assembly in the 15th CGSMUN. I was introduced to MUN in CGSMUN 4 years ago, and I have fallen in love with it ever since. In my experience, MUN is a beautiful journey to becoming a citizen of the world. Each one of the 14 conferences I have participated in over the years has been a unique opportunity to discover the world of international politics and cultivate problem-solving, public speaking and critical thinking skills. As I am reaching the destination of this journey, I am carrying a suitcase full of not only knowledge but also unforgettable memories. Wishing that everyone involved in this year’s conference will have an even more exciting experience with the MUN world, I am looking forward to welcoming you all in December!

Theodoros Iakovou
Deputy Secretary General

My name is Theodore Iakovou. I am an IB1 student at Pierce - The American College of Greece and I have been granted the immense honour of serving as a Deputy Secretary-General of the 15th CGSMUN. I firmly believe that Model United Nations has offered me a unique chance for personal development and growth. In my opinion, understanding the results and consequences of our actions and choosing, finally, the best solution is an invaluable skill. Model UN helps students prepare for their future lives, bringing them closer to global politics, international relations and strategic decision-making.

I am looking forward to meeting you all at the conference!

Chris Moustakis
Deputy Secretary General

My name is Chris Moustakis and I am currently a 10th grade student at CGS. I will have the utmost honor and pleasure to serve in the position of the Deputy Secretary General in CGSMUN’s 15th session. I have always taken an interest in politics and global affairs and MUN is what has helped me explore my interest to an extent I did not think possible. It has shown me what limits exist and how to surpass them in order to become the best version of yourself and achieve things you never believed you could. MUN, however, is far more than an activity to me. It is a welcoming global community, full of extraordinary individuals. It is with this community that I aspire to be the best version of myself in the upcoming CGSMUN in order to give you all an amazing and unforgettable experience.
